Which was also an ode to Versace from the 90s.
Margot Robbie continues to raise the bar and we can’t get enough of it. From tailored pink Chanel gowns to floor-sweeping Valentino gowns, Robbie has effortlessly (and unfailingly) elevated her style one premiere after another — and apparently this is just the beginning. During the last stop of her fashion tour, she posed in a tight Versace dress for the Babylon premiered in Sydney, Australia.
The silky baby blue dress featured a scalloped neckline and structured bodice, along with a thigh-high slit and red lace trim at the hem. The actress’s ensemble was inspired by a 1995 runway look worn by Carla Bruni at Versace’s couture show, and while Robbie’s version stuck to a similar gathering of fabric at the hip, she opted for contrasting red lace. Matching baby blue strappy heels emerged from under the slit.
No surprise, Robbie let the dress speak for itself and topped off the whole ensemble with simple, clean makeup and a nude lip. She paired the look with soft, subtle waves with no visible jewelry.
When Margot isn’t walking the red carpet in effortless, breath-taking dresses, you can see her toned down with structured suits. Last week, she stepped out in an all-red outfit consisting of a crimson oversized leather jacket and matching leather pants. Last month, she guest-starred alongside Jean Smart The Late Late Show with James Corden in an all silver silk blazer, slip dress and trousers.
