Lisa Marie Presley‘s final resting place will be an above-ground tomb – similar to what her late son was buried in… which can now be seen in plain sight in front of her memorial.
Photos surfaced Saturday from Graceland, where LMP’s stone sarcophagus was unveiled as he lay right next to it Benjamin Keoughs. It appears to be of the same design and made of the same material. However, her actual name tag on the tombstone does not seem quite complete.
As you can see there is a tarp over her side of the cemetery…obscuring where you can see the memory of Ben on the left. In any case, the final preparations are in full swing.
Check out the rest of the property – a stage has been built, which we had reported was in the works. Indeed, it sounds like there will be some gigs from there… and certainly some public comments too, we imagine. Construction crews have been At the since Tuesday.
Floral arrangements have also been steadily amassed over the past few days, and now… there are full-fledged makeshift memorials outside Graceland’s gates, including a beautiful one that reads LMP — crafted in red lettering with a white heart behind it.
In other words, the commemoration/celebration of life tomorrow is almost done. We have been told that her family is expected to gather for a private funeral at some point this weekend… it’s unclear if that will happen Saturday or Sunday before the doors open to the public.
There are rumors that many celebs will be in attendance, including Austin Butler… who won a Golden Globe for his role as Elvis just a few days before Lisa Marie passed away.
An official cause of death is pending … Lisa was only 54.
